Sheep Availability
My priority is raising a hardy flock of registered Finnsheep that balances their triple-purpose qualities. We also keep a couple East Friesian X Finn ewes for extra milk. They have proven to be the perfect combination for keeping production without the problems common with pure EFs. You can read more about our flock priorities here.
I only sell the lambs that really shine as breeding stock, ones that we’d keep for ourselves we could. The rest are available as meat lambs.
If I could only keep one sheep, Nelli (FBA# 34526) is the one I would keep. She is my best Finn dairy producer, a great mother and always produces strong lambs that stand out. This years lams were sired by Racer FBA #36409 in hopes of keeping both hardiness and milk production in this line.
Since we are trying to decrease brown in our flock, all three of Nelli’s lambs are available.

Bagnaia’s Lambs
Bagnaia’s milk production is great, but the midline of her udder could be better. She has been a great mother and always has strong, healthy lambs. The sire of these lambs is FBA #34607.
Lizzie’s Lambs
Lizzie is my highest producing dairy sheep. With a little bit of grain, she produces a scant half-gallon. She was bred to Mister (FBA#) so her lambs are ¾ Finnsheep and ¼ EF with fantastic dairy possibilities.
Aprilia is our Matriarch. She is the dam of some of some of our best producers, including Benelli (see udder photo above).

Kiki has been a surprise winner! She’s not in-your-pocket friendly, so I almost sold her. But she is the best mother I have, lambs in the field with no help, and produces incredible lambs. She comes from a milky line and I have milked her, but she’s not a super high producer.

Novella is our “selfie sheep". She has the sweetest temperament, so if the camera is out, she’s in the frame! She had quads this year. We may retain one or two of her lambs. If hardiness and easy-to-manage are priorities for you, I cannot recommend her lambs enough!
